Ten mile round trip scenic train ride along the eastern shore of Narragansett Bay. 80 minute rides. Trains leave from the depot across from the Newport Convention and Visitors Bureau Sundays at 11:45 am and 1:45 pm. The National Railroad Foundation and Museum, Located in Newport RI and operator of the Old Colony and Newport Scenic Railway, is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit educational organization dedicated to the preservation, restoration and operation of historic railroad equipment, and the preservation of Narragansett Bay and the surrounding environment. Scenery along railway includes rocky beaches, native birds and wildlife, sailboats and the decommissed aircraft carriers Forrestal and Saratoga
