The NMAI focuses on illustration artworks created for reproduction in books, periodicals, and other print media. The museum's collection is exhibited in the historic Gilded Age mansion Vernon Court, design by the noted Beaux-Arts architects Carrere and Hastings. Featured artists include: Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, Howard Pyle, JC Leyendecker, NC Wyeth, and over 150 others. Open year-round for guided tours Fridays at 3pm, and for VIP and Group Tours by advance reservations, from May 30 to September 4, open weekends on a General Admission basis: 11:00am to 5:00pm.
